Future Light 1000

APPLICATIONS
  • Orchestra shell ceilings
  • Acoustic canopies
  • Angled ceilings
DESCRIPTION
The Future Light 1000 is a high-output luminaire specifically designed for floodlight applications most often found in orchestra shell ceilings and acoustic canopies. The gravity-balanced reflector retains a downward orientation despite ceiling angle and eliminates the need for constant re-focusing. The high-output optical system provides a smooth even field across both axes with masking shutters to provide control on two sides. An optional mercury tip-over switch de-energizes the fixture when it is tilted for storage.

SPECIFICATIONS
The Future Light 1000 shall accept a 350 to 1000 watt double-ended tungsten halogen lamp. The unit shall incorporate a gravity-balanced, textured aluminum reflector with a maximum operating angle of 15° off the front/back horizontal axis, to accommodate the various ceiling angles possible in an orchestra shell. Alternate reflector mounting positions shall be provided for use in extreme shell angles (0° to 30°). The reflector housing shall have a hinged cover with heat-resistant borosilicate safety glass. The reflector shall pivot to the top of the unit to allow for lamp replacement from above through a hinged access cover in the housing. A mercury tip-over switch, located in the connection box on the side of the unit, shall interrupt power to the lamp as the shell ceiling is tilted vertically to be raised into the fly loft.

The housing shall be constructed of 18 gauge C.R.S., with vents along both sides for cool operation. The unit shall have a white trim plate for installation to the orchestra shell. The fixture shall be U. L. Listed. Finish shall be baked black enamel, with the trim plate and shutters in baked white enamel.
